Creating a strategy

A strategy is your auto-rebalancing position. One wallet can own many strategies, each with its own chains, parameters, and balance.

TL;DR

  • Click New Strategy, set chain and amount, adjust the settings, sign the prompts.
  • Before you enter an amount, the form works as a browser: review and hide candidate vaults across all chains first.
  • Fund the strategy within one hour of creating it, or it is auto-deleted.
  • USDC only.

For the prompt sequence, see Connect and deposit.

1. Open the form

Click New Strategy from the dashboard. The form opens with sensible defaults and every setting visible.

2. Pick a chain and amount

Select the chain where you hold USDC and enter the amount (whole USDC). Cross-chain rebalances are handled automatically once the strategy is live, so the starting chain just controls where your USDC enters. Chains under Rebalance across chains are grouped by minimum strategy value; higher-gas chains unlock at larger amounts.

3. Tune the settings

  • Strategy name. A label for your own records. Auto-generated if left blank.
  • Sensitivity (% APY gap). Minimum APY improvement before Auto-Pilot moves your capital. Default 2%.
  • Confirmation window. How long a better vault must stay qualified before the move fires (5 to 60 minutes). Default 10 minutes.
  • Strategy Vaults. How many vaults capital is split equally across. Default 3.
  • Min vault size ($). Excludes vaults below this TVL. Default $100,000.
  • Min withdrawable liquidity ($). Excludes vaults you might not be able to exit. If a held vault drops below this floor, Auto-Pilot force-exits it; new vaults must hold about twice the floor to be entered. Default $10,000; 0 turns it off.
  • APY Smoothing Window. How many minutes of snapshots are averaged into the score. Default 30 minutes.
  • Hidden vaults. Hide a candidate from the preview to exclude it from this strategy.

As you enter capital, the two floors auto-raise to keep your deposit safe: Min withdrawable liquidity toward 10× and Min vault size toward 100× the per-vault deposit. Non-blocking warnings appear when a setting drops below those recommendations, when you use fewer than 3 vaults, or when Ethereum is enabled with a low Sensitivity, short Confirmation window, or short smoothing window (Ethereum gas makes small moves uneconomic).

4. Check the preview

The panel lists the vaults you'll be allocated into, with APY, TVL, liquidity, and an approval marker per vault. Creation needs at least two eligible vaults, and Strategy Vaults can be at most one less than the eligible count (one is always reserved as a rebalance target); if your filters cut too deep, loosen them until the Create button enables.

5. Create and sign

Click Create Strategy and sign the authorization message, then complete the checklist. See Connect and deposit.

6. Strategy confirmed

Once the deposit confirms, the strategy shows Earning yield. Cross-chain portions land after Circle's attestation; see Cross-chain bridging for timing.

What you can change later

You can edit the strategy name, Sensitivity, Confirmation window, and APY smoothing window, hide/unhide vaults, and pause/resume. The chain set, capital, Strategy Vaults, Min vault size, and Min withdrawable liquidity are fixed at creation. To deploy more capital, create another strategy.

Hiding a vault the strategy currently holds force-exits it on the next check. See Rebalancing.
