Creating a strategy
A strategy is your auto-rebalancing position. One wallet can own many strategies, each with its own chains, parameters, and balance.
- New Strategy walks you through one setting at a time, showing how many vaults still qualify.
- You approve USDC and your vaults before signing, then deposit at the end.
- Fund the strategy within one hour of creating it, or it is auto-deleted.
- USDC only.
The walkthrough
Where's your USDC
Pick the chain you're funding from. Chains you don't hold enough on are greyed out.
How much
Enter an amount, or hit MAX. You approve that amount here, before anything else. Nothing moves yet.
Which networks
Choose the networks your strategy invests across. This is separate from where your USDC came from: you can fund from one chain and never invest there. Networks unlock at larger amounts, because working on them costs gas.
Minimum vault size
Only vaults above this size are considered, so your deposit stays a small slice you can always exit.
Minimum withdrawable liquidity
Vaults lend your USDC out, so not all of it is available at any moment. If a vault you hold drops below this floor, Earn pulls out. The entry multiplier stops it entering a vault already near that line.
Rebalancing
How much better another vault must be (default 3%, or 5% for a vault on another network), and how long that has to hold (default 10 minutes), before your money moves. The sliders warn when a gap is small enough that fees eat the gain, or large enough that your money will likely never move.
Last details
How many vaults to spread across (default 3), how much to smooth yields before trusting them, and a name.
A card at the bottom shows how many vaults still qualify as you go. Open Customize vaults to see them and uncheck any you'd rather your strategy never touch.
Approve, create, deposit
Approve. Each vault needs a one-time permission. Approve them in one run, grouped by network to keep wallet switching down. The more you approve, the more freedom Earn has to chase the best yield later.
Create. Sign to save the strategy. This is not a deposit and costs nothing.
Deposit. Confirm the deposit and your strategy takes over. Cross-chain portions land after Circle's attestation; see Cross-chain bridging for timing.
What you can change later
You can edit the name, rebalancing settings, and smoothing window, hide/unhide vaults, and pause/resume. The chain set, amount, vault count, and both floors are fixed at creation. To deploy more capital, create another strategy.
Hiding a vault the strategy currently holds force-exits it on the next check. See Rebalancing.
