Closing a strategy
How to exit an Earn strategy.
To take out part of your capital without closing, use Reduce on a standard strategy. A covered strategy has no Reduce. See Increase and Reduce.
Click Close Strategy
Open the Manage tab and click Close Strategy under Strategy controls. A dialog shows the amount to withdraw and, for a multi-chain close, the number of transactions and a note that bridging back takes a few minutes. The button is greyed out while a cross-chain transfer is still settling.
A strategy that was never funded shows Delete instead and is removed permanently. To reuse its settings later, Clone it before you delete it.
Confirm and sign
Sign one transaction per chain, funding chain first. If you revoked a vault's share approval, the flow asks you to approve it again before that chain can redeem. See Approvals and signatures.
If you stop partway, the strategy stays in Closing and a Continue Close button on the strategy page resumes from the chains you have not signed. If you come back after about an hour, Earn builds fresh transactions for the remaining chains, so nothing is withdrawn twice.
Withdrawal in progress
You are the only signer for the close. A same-chain position redeems to USDC in your wallet as soon as the transaction mines. A remote-chain position redeems locally and burns the USDC back to your funding chain through CCTP. Quicknode submits and pays for the mint on your funding chain, and the minted USDC goes straight to your wallet. The strategy shows Closing until every bridge lands. A position is left out of the close when its vault cannot cover the withdrawal right now. The Positions tab marks such a position Holding, and a dialog headed "Some positions are paused" tells you before you confirm. Its vault shares stay in your wallet. Redeem them directly from the vault once liquidity returns. Their value still counts in the strategy's final value. See When a vault can't be exited.
Funds in wallet
When the last position and the last bridge confirm, the strategy becomes Closed. Your wallet on the funding chain holds the USDC from every position Earn redeemed, yield included.
